Just another quick post. I met up with a group from the site model mayhem(which I'm a member of) for a photoshoot saturday afternoon. I was able to snap a few good pics before I headed off to take pictures elsewhere @ the con.

Otakon 2007 Part 1

I attended Otakon 2007 this past weekend at the Baltimore Convention Center, in Baltimore Maryland. I took a lot of pictures, many of which came out very well. I've taken some cosplay(basically dressing up as animé and manga characters)pictures before at other cons but my pictures didn't turn out so well. This weekend I tried to focus on capturing colorful and unique costumes. As you will notice, most if not all of the pictures that I took were of females. At the cons it seems as if males tend to wear darker, blander costumes while many females tend to wear costumes with more color. Its not uncommon to see a female wearing a bright colorful neon wig, but i've yet to see a male wearing a crazy colored wig. Anyways, heres a few of the pictures that I took. If you notice the title of this post is Otakon 2007 part 1 so be on the look out for more pictures soon *hint *hint. :P

Firework Pictures

I went out and took some firework pictures on the 4th of July in Columbia Maryland. The scenery was really bad, and it was raining for a bit so I wasn't able to get a whole lot. For New Years I'm going to try and make my way down to DC and take pictures of the fireworks on the national mall.

Strut Fashion Show Summer 2007 Pictures

I was given a chance to shoot at the Summer Strut Fashion Show a few months back. Here's a few of the pictures I took. There were a lot of other photographers at the show. I ended up having the longest lens @ 300mm after 1.5x multiplier from my d70. Because of this I decided to concentrate on shooting upper body shots instead of complete poses. If I get the chance to participate in the fall Strut Fashion Show I might do things a little differently. Otherwise it was a great experience and I learned a lot. Hope you enjoy :P.
