LTJ Bukem @ Club Five in DC

On Wednesday night, I went and saw my favorite Drum and Bass DJ @ Club Five in DC. The lighting was horrible but I felt that i was able to capture a great side of LTJ Bukem. Hopefully you'll enjoy this photo as much as I do.

DC Waterfront

I went to the DC Waterfront yesterday and snapped some pictures. It wasn't really the greatest place to shoot but I was able to get a couple of nice shots. I also messed around with making black and white photos in Photoshop, since I haven't done much of that before. Hope you enjoy!

Red Sunset

Here is a pictures I took of the red sunset yesterday. I would have liked to get the sun in the picture as well, but I couldn't see it from my neighborhood. After I shot this photo I darkened the shadows a bit to get the desired effect. Hope you enjoy!

Strut Fall Fashion Show 2007 - Pre Show

I was afforded the opportunity to shoot at Strut Fall Fashion Show 2007. Unlike last time I shot the show, I showed up a little earlier and was able to get a decent number of pre-show pictures. I shot mostly with available light and a little bit of fill flash to preserve the color casts. Since it was so dark most of these pictures are @ 1600 ISO. I wasn't so happy with the digital noise but I am happy with the shots that I got. Hope you enjoy them.

Reflections - Terrapin Photography Project

I just became a member of the University of Maryland Photography club. Every couple of weeks we have a voluntary photo assignment that deals with a specific topic. The topic this time was reflections. Instead of shooting someone in reflections or an image reflected in a window or body of water I got creative and tried something that I've never done before. I made a light box and used some Starburst, and a mirror to create the two images below. Hope you enjoy!

National Botonical Garden + National Zoo Cont'd

On the same day that I went to the National Zoo I also made my way over to the National Botanical Garden to take some pictures. I had never used a macro lens before and this is my first attempt. I think some of the pictures turned out great. I hope you enjoy them.

National Zoo

MR2 Pics @ Ft. Armistead

This past weekend I went out my friend dave near ft. armistead park to take some pictures of his Toyota Mr2 Spyder. I shot with my Nikkor 18-200vr as well as the Nikkor 10mm fisheye that i'm renting for another week or so. There really isn't that much to say about the shoot other than the fact that I learned more about what angles work well for car pictures. I'm supposed to do some more shoots of other cars soon, so I'll post some more pics then. Thanx again for looking :P.

Night Time Rave Lights Vol 1.

I spent some time with my friends this weekend messing around with glowsticks. We shot indoors and most of my pictures were taken with f/3.5 with exposure times ranging from 2s to about 10s. I hope you enjoy the photos. I'll be posting more as I get them edited.

Train Yard Photos

I went out to the train yard in Annapolis Junction today to take some pictures with my friend. I happened to be carrying around a 10.5mm nikon dx f/2.8 fisheye lens that I rented online so I played around with that a bit. I've been out to the train yard before when there was tons of really colorful graffiti. This time there was only a bit and most of it was really old or partly washed away. The light wasn't that great either so I expect that I'll go out again soon to take some more pictures. Hope you enjoy :P!
